SPORTING FOUR PUBLISHED ALBUMS AND A RE-RELEASE, THE BLU COLLAR GLOMERATION HAS GAINED A WORLD-WIDE FAN BASE. The hard-driving piano rhythms of Francisco Benetiz, Ori Shlezinger, and Bernie Katzman embellished by the hot sax of Benetiz on many cuts has captured the imagination of rockn roll lovers around the globe. The all-encompassing genre of rock traverses the media of country, folk, jazz, blues, and reggae and the Glomeration touches all bases. A kid-friendly album, the frontispiece of The Children’s Jungle Book is a humorous item also titled The Jungle Book. Vocalist, Andrew Reid sings reggae in front of the Justin Morrell septet who give it the Tagalog flair that audibly supports the flow of the story. The vocalist Moonshiner, whose voice reminds one of a cross between Cheyanne Bodie and God, does the Glomeration proud on our strictly country album titled Arkandsas Ambush. His delta blues style empathizes with the mood of lyricyst Marcia Rawlyk. The title cut, Arkansas Ambush, reflects the vagaries of finding real food in rural America while reminding us that former President Bill Clinton “didnt inhale” when he smoked marijuana on college. Lujanac has released albums of eclectic music on the Eidol e-music label. Renowned jazz saxophonist Francisco Benetiz, BBC and BBC Wales superstar Sarah Pountney, and explosive rockers Set the Charge out of New York City have embellished Lujanac’s lyrics and his poetry has sparked innovative musical interpretation on three continents. As artist-in-residence at the Doshi Gallery, Lujanac performed adventure ballads of his own creation under the stage name Blu Collar. His literary works and news items have appeared frequently in the Pennsylvania Beacon, a weekly newspaper prominent during that era. The album titled Devils’ Lair captures the essence of the lyricist’s features in the cover art, competently done by Ireland’s Sophie L. Kinsella of Dublin. Mixed and mastered at the Sassquatch (sic) Sound Studios by the Sassquatch himself Devils’ Lair gives the term ‘adventure ballad’ a whole new meaning.
