Nationally known Expert on Intelligence and National Security issues In the aftermath of another attack to the US, not coincidentally on September 11, four people including the US Ambassador to Libya and two of his former Navy SEAL security detail are dead. If the President were a Navy ship's Commanding Officer, he would be relieved of command without hesitation. Rather than an immediate condemnation of the raid on the US Embassy in Cairo and the fatal attack in Benghazi, the US Embassy in Cairo issued a statement condemning"the continuing efforts by misguided individuals to hurt the religious feelings of Muslims". Not until several hours later did President Obama take to the airwaves and publicly vow to 'bring justice' to those responsible for the attacks.

Magic Slim & the Teardrops

Magic Slim & the Teardrops

TOPIC-

Magic Slim & the Teardrops proudly uphold the tradition of what a Chicago blues band should sound like. Their emphasis on ensemble playing and a humongous repertoire that allegedly ranges upwards of a few hundred songs give the towering guitarist's live performances an endearing off-the-cuff quality: you never know what obscurity he'll pull out of his oversized hat next. Born Morris Holt on August 7, 1937, the Mississippi native was forced to give up playing the piano when he lost his little finger in a cotton gin mishap. Boyhood pal Magic Sam bestowed his magical moniker on the budding guitarist (and times change as Slim's no longer slim). Holt first came to Chicago in 1955, but found that breaking into the competitive local blues circuit was a tough proposition. Although he managed to secure a steady gig for a while with Robert Perkins' band (Mr. Pitiful & the Teardrops), Slim wasn't good enough to progress into the upper ranks of Chicago bluesdom.

Governors from four states have declared their intentions to opt out of the Medicaid portion of the Obamacare mandate and there are more than a handful of other governors ready to follow suit.

The governors of Florida, Iowa, Louisiana and South Carolina have already stated their refusal to adopt the new measures. Texas, Wisconsin and others are expected to do the same.

New BOOK

David McCabe

TOPIC-Bk:Toward a More Perfect Union.

As a Professor and a School Board Trustee, students are at the core of every decision I make and every lecture I give. Topics regarding diversity, equity and student success are also equally central to my approach in the classroom and the boardroom. As an author, issues concerning social justice often keep me up at night and serve as my muse. To better support current teachers and to best prepare future teachers for increasingly diverse settings, I help them explore the multiple ways that technology, learning styles, race, class, gender and sexual identity influence their work and shape the experiences of students in the classroom. I am a school board trustee because I wish to give back to the community that helped shape me into who I am. I teach because of the profound influence that teachers have had on my own life and I would like to return the favor. Also, I have discovered that I am a happier and a more centered person when I am working with my students.

GlutenFree Cruise

Lynda McHenry

TOPIC-

Lynda McHenry is the master mind and powerhouse behind Gluten Free Cruises. She has been in the travel industry for 35 years. She has led dozens of groups on tours and river cruises all over the world, and is an acclaimed and well loved trip organizer. She owned and operated her agency in Southern California for 26 years, before moving to Corvallis, Oregon in 2007 to establish Willamette Tours and Cruises. Lynda opened Via Verde Travel in San Dimas in 1981 and operated it for 26 years. 2007 she sold the agency to Plaza Travel to move to Corvallis, Oregon. Under the Plaza/Via Verde Travel umbrella, Lynda has established Willamette Tours & Cruises in Corvallis, where she works as a full time travel agent. She has traveled around the world and cruises are her specialty. How Gluten Free Cruises was born! The McHenry Family’s introduction to gluten intolerance began in 2006 with the removal of their daughter’s colon due to undiagnosed gluten intolerance. Thus began the journey into a whole new way of life that led to her husband’s founding of Big River Grains, a gluten free grain company, as well as their opening of Eats & Treats Café, a completely dedicated, gluten free eatery in Corvallis, which serves “just darn good food”, and the best cinnamon rolls. Period. (never mind that they’re gluten free). To Lynda, it only seemed natural to combine her passions of travel and gluten free living into one fun opportunity: a dedicated gluten free European River cruise without compromise! Lynda looks forward to escorting Gluten Free Cruises first charter aboard the May 22, 2013 AmaWaterway’s AmaPrima along the Romantic Danube. Mr. Hunter

Mr. Hunter

TOPIC-

Mr. Hunter is a jamming rock band that travels the world spreading the message of liberty, freedom and love. Inspired by the vision of founder Chris Marcus, Mr. Hunter is a musical, emotional, and spiritual reflection of what was and could be again. The music speaks of the quest to become aware of our dreams and then chase after them. We could try to do it another way, but this just seemed like much more fun! By believing in our dreams and ourselves, we can accomplish anything; we can create our own reality. And because the members of Mr. Hunter were put on this earth to share our gift of music we decided to turn this important message into a rocking soundtrack! The first result is our debut album The First Chapter, although as the title indicates this is just the beginning and the future shines even brighter. Imagine a land where energy, freedom, and love were the code of value. A place where the unquestioned belief that we have the power to reach our destiny was all combined into one harmonious groove. The story is told through the language of music and we are excited that you have chosen to join us. Sometimes it’s hard to see the final destination, but then we realize that the best part is just enjoying the journey. We are excited to share this with you and the best is yet to come!

Deanna Bogart

Deanna Bogart

When it comes to Deanna Bogart, everyone wants to claim her as their own -- her hometown, her fans, her fellow musicians and even her instruments. She's that good–and that good-natured. Born in Detroit, Deanna spent her early years in Phoenix and New York City, climbing on any available piano bench to plunk and play with preternatural panache. Around the age of six, she was "gently removed" from the Brooklyn Conservatory of Music for playing piano by ear instead of learning to read music. While in middle school, Deanna yearned to play the saxophone. Typical of those times though, she was told, "Girls play the clarinet, not the sax." Thankfully for us all, that tide has changed. Today, Deanna Bogart is an award-winning multi-instrumentalist and multifaceted musician whose fans value the diversity of her genre-free zone. As a bandleader/singer/songwriter/producer/pianist/sax player, Deanna combines the best of boogie-woogie, contemporary blues, country and jazz into a splendid blend she calls “blusion.” Deanna's fusion of blusion -- spontaneous, sophisticated, fearless and fun -- has garnered her three consecutive Blues Music Awards' Horn Instrumentalist of the Year for 2008, 2009 and 2010 and an endorsement contract with Rico Reeds. She has won, at last count, more than 20 Wammies, the music awards for the hotly contested Washington, D.C. region. Recognized for her dazzling keyboards, soulful saxophone, smoky vocals and cut-above songwriting, Deanna easily wins the hearts of fans on land and at sea on chartered cruises. She is a featured player in the Legendary Rhythm and Blues Revue, jamming with Tommy Castro, Magic Dick (founding member of the J. Geils Band), as well as prominent guitar slingers. Deanna remembers well her early years as a budding musician and is an avid educator and mentor, sharing her insight and wisdom with students of all ages. Perennially popular with a knack for engaging her audience, Deanna has played for U.S. troops in Iraq, Kuwait and Egypt as part of the “Blues on the Nile” tour, including performances at Cairo University, the Cairo Opera House and even a historic concert at the Great Pyramids. Deanna Bogart's latest ventures include Blind Pig Record's "Pianoland," a newly minted DVD called "Everybody Has A Story," and “11th Hour,” a CD released on Vista Records, a company she co-founded. WHAT OTHERS SAY: "...possesses a gift for approaching blues, soul and R&B material with warmth and firmness. Her originals here, in particular the beautifully sung, intelligent ballads, "Blue By Night" and "Tender Days," sound as fresh as if she'd magically plucked them out of the air. " – Downbeat "... Bogart reveals the intersections between genres that have fed off one another for decades." – Blues Revue ACCOMPLISHMENTS OF NOTE: — 2008/2009/2010 BMA’s Horn Instrumentalist of the Year — 22 Wammies (Washington area music awards) — Featured in the Legendary Rhythm and Blues Revue w/Tommy Castro Band and Magic Dick (J. Geils Band) — “Prairie Home Companion,” Keyboard Magazine, Jazziz, the Washington Post, Blues on the Nile Tour.....

T.O.N.E-z

T.O.N.E-z

TOPIC-

From Emmy Time to Prime Time: Celebrity Spotlight Shines on Rap Artist T.O.N.E-z Sky Is Limitless for Emmy-Nominated Star Lighting Up the Music and Television Worlds Many musicians have it, but most don't have "it"-- that being the celebrity wow factor to leap from acclaimed Hip-Hop artist to certified media star. That crossover appeal is driving the rapid rise of T.O.N.E-z, the Emmy-nominated rapper generating the sort of buzz that lifted the profiles of predecessors like ICE-T and Will Smith. Having penned the Emmy nominated theme song, "Long Hard Times to Come," for the hit FX series Justified, T.O.N.E-z started to become a household name. And when the Justified Season 1 Box Set featuring the video for "Long Hard Times To Come" sold over 1,000,000 units (so far), his claim to fame was stamped in pure platinum. "From the moment we heard the lyrics and the song, we all knew it HAD to be the main title theme for Justified, says Graham Yost, Producer for the show. "It's everything we hope our show can be -- emotional, evocative, with a feeling for the past, but yet utterly contemporary. Usually, when you work on a show and it comes time to view a new episode, you skip through the main title because you've heard and seen it again and again. But those lyrics captivate me, and I want to watch -- and listen -- every time." T.O.N.E-z' last solo release, The Lime Light, made a big splash in the indie Hip Hop scene and gained thousands of hours of air time on college radio stations. And the upcoming studio album, High Voltage, is already highly anticipated, promising to pick up where The Lime Light left off. On the acting side, T.O.N.E-z starred alongside two of the biggest names in Hollywood, Denzel Washington and Tom Hanks, in the movie Philadelphia, (Hanks won the Academy Award for Best Actor for his role in the movie). He'll be making his return to the screen next year through several acting and performance appearances; final details are in the works. But for T.O.N.E-z, who signed his first record deal in the early 1990s with Select Records, his enviable success is less a stroke of luck and more an outgrowth of countless years of hard work and planning. So while his crossover appeal may seem like a fluke, he carefully models himself after two other megastars: Jay-Z and the late great Michael Jackson. T.O.N.E-z uses Jay-Z as an example of the will to succeed, and Jackson is his model of the consummate performer. T.O.N.E-z also has two other notable role models closer to home: brothers Special K, formerly of the The Treacherous Three, and T La Rock, both Hip Hop legends in their own rights and pioneers of the early rap scene. With that sort of pedigree, it's no wonder that both the music and television worlds are taking notice and lining up to get a piece of the action. T.O.N.E-z' musical style has been called Bold, Innovative and History-making. It's easy to see why these same words fit the bill when it comes to T.O.N.E-z as an artist... and a celebrity for a new generation.

FRED CLARIDGE – CEO OF CERTIFIED SENIOR GUIDANCE ASSOCIATION

FRED CLARIDGE – CEO OF CERTIFIED SENIOR GUIDANCE ASSOCIATION

TOPIC-Obama's ads concerning Mitt Romney's plans for Medicare are misleading, or at best unsubstantiated, and designed simply to scare seniors. The major fact missing from all of these ads is that Medicare will soon become insolvent if left unchanged and Obamacare weakens Medicare. Mitt Romney's plan does not affect current seniors or those approaching retirement, but preserves Medicare for future generations.

Fred Claridge, a senior citizen himself, has been an advocate and is known as "The Voice of Senior's Rights" since 1995. He was a Director, President and Chairman of ICAN Associates, Inter-Agency Council on Child Abuse and Neglect in Los Angeles. Claridge's business background includes President of 2 mortgage companies in Los Angeles, California and a former California licensed real estate broker. He served as Vice President Loan Officer for Union Bank, California; Imperial Bank and Lloyd's Bank, California.
