Soleb Theory is a funk-fusion band from Wichita, KS, formed in 2010. They play an eclectic mixture of punk, funk, metal and ska with an underlying Latin element added by the rhythm section, brothers Alejandro and Andres Alamos. After a hiatus and the departure of original drummer Michael Poorman, the new lineup – rounded out by guitarist/vocalist Drew Colcher – played its first shows in Santiago, Chile before returning stateside. The last year has seen the band recording their first EP – Sunroom Sessions – and widening their fanbase with frequent out-of-town gigs. They are currently in the process of recording their first full-length album of 12 original songs, slated for release on Wichita label Kirby’s Beer Store Records.
