U.N. SEIZING THE INTERNET?: Int’l Delegates to Discuss Regulating the Web

In a controversial meeting this week, the United Nations will convene in Dubai to discuss—for lack of a better term—taking control of the Internet.

Constitutional attorney, U.S. Army veteran and executive director of the United States Justice Foundation (USJF), Michael Connelly, is available for interviews to enlighten your audience about how aggressive this movement is—and how it stands to impact our American freedoms.

“If the Russians and the Chinese have their way,” explains Connelly, “the United Nations may end up controlling the Internet worldwide, including deciding what we have access to in the United States, as well as how to impose a tax on Internet usage. Unfortunately, there are indications that President Obama may be in favor of this treaty.”

The meeting, billed as the 12th World Conference on International Telecommunications, is just days away. In addition to the aforementioned Russia and China, leading the charge to have the U.N.’s International Telecommunications Union (ITU) expand its regulating authority to the Internet are also Iran and Saudi Arabia.

All told, we’re talking about four names that should make Americans very uncomfortable.

freedom watchdog Michael Connelly. He can provide an in-depth analysis of the U.N.’s motives, how this international legislation threatens our way of life, and the call-to-action required to keep the U.S. delegates from giving away our liberty.
