FAST & FURIOUS WARRANTS COMING?: By Issa, ATF’s McMahon, Others Could Face Charges
TOPIC-The twists and turns of the Fast & Furious scandal continue, as lead Congressional investigators, Representative Darrell Issa (R-CA) and Senator Chuck Grassley (R-IA), have revealed that one of the five agents recognized, to this point, as being most responsible for the gun walking fiasco is double dipping into taxpayers’ pockets. And that’s not even the most compelling aspect of the story. Larry Pratt, executive director of the Gun Owners of America (GOA), has been following the Fast & Furious saga very closely since day one, and he’s available for interviews to discuss any angle you like—from the botched gun operation itself to the latest word from Issa and Grassley. While appearing on Fox News’ On the Record with Greta Van Susteren last week, Issa explained how William McMahon (shown), Deputy Assistant Director and head of the Western region of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms & Explosives (ATF) during the gunrunner operation, has been working full-time for investment bank J.P. Morgan during the course of the last four to five months he’s been on paid leave from ATF—paid leave offered to get him to retirement. The more compelling part? During the interview, Issa says, “This is somebody who our reports said perjured himself before the Congress. We don’t understand why J.P. Morgan would hire somebody who’s lied to Congress, that will probably be referred for criminal prosecution.” ABOUT YOUR EXPERT GUEST, LARRY PRATT: Larry Pratt has been Executive Director of Gun Owners of America for 30 years.
