Legal Logic
Guest Bio: Mark E. Becker is a lawyer, certified mediator, political mediator and author. Mark was one of the first certified mediators in the state of Florida and has successfully help resolve more than 5,000 cases. Mark consulted with politicians on high profile issues, worked in the same Florida courthouse that determined the 2000 presidential election, had his shoes shined with Vice-President Joe Biden, spoke candidly with Senator Elizabeth Dole, accidently stepped on Jesse Jackson’s shoes, and had lunch next to Florida Governor Jeb Bush during 9/11 as his brother, the president, was in Sarasota Florida reading stories to elementary children. In fact, he borrowed the title for his first political thriller, “At Risk of Winning,” from Ron Paul’s wife. Mark is not a member of any political party, and you will never see any reference to party politics in his books, during mediation, or while he commentates. Mark believes that, as with any dispute with two contentious parties, the democrats and republicans could benefit greatly from solution-oriented mediation. About the Books: Mark has taken his approach to mediation and created a character who exemplifies the qualities that he believes people should seek when deciding to cast their vote in elections. Mark’s main Character, Max Masterson is a guy who isn’t a politician, who happens to be running for President of the United States. He isn’t a member of any political party, and he doesn’t make speeches. In fact, Max doesn’t do anything like traditional politicians, and that’s why the Washington establishment is trying to kill him.
