WHY: Gearing up for the upcoming Thanksgiving and holiday travel, more drivers are overlooking an important aspect that is critical to keeping them and their families safe while on the road– their tires. According to a survey by the Rubber Manufacturers Association (RMA), which represents this country’s tire manufacturers, 13% of vehicles surveyed nationally had at least one bald tire, up from the previous stat of 10.4%. This means as many as 33 million vehicles on the road are at risk. Bald tires cannot properly grip the road and can lead to slipping, sliding and even accidents – especially in wet weather conditions. Further, an earlier RMA survey showed that 64% of car owners did not know how to check tread depth, 9% never check their tread depth. Making sure that your tires are safe for the road is easy and economical – all you need is a penny. § The “Penny test”: Insert Abe's head upside down into the tread in a couple of spots on each tire. If you can see the entire top of his head, your tread is less than one-sixteenth of an inch deep - below the level where you can count on it in slippery conditions – and it should be replaced. Without sufficient tread depth, your vehicle can’t properly grip the road. Under wet weather conditions, insufficient tread depth can cause a vehicle to hydroplane and potentially lead to a crash. There’s a reason I chose the tagline, “Let’s Talk About Something Important” for my program. Just watch any network or cable news channel for one hour and you’ll see why. They all seem to revel in the inconsequential and the innocuous. Then spend an hour listening to one of my programs. Upon doing so, you’ll want a “Barrack-aid” number. A “Barrack-aid” is someone who wants to “aid” in getting the truth out by circumventing the mainstream media. Due to the power the MSM has, that has to be done by “barracking”. If you want to get a “Barrack-aid” number, all you have to do is ask via email or by calling into the show. Just remember though that the earlier you get your number, the lower it will be, and the lower your number, the higher your Barrack-aid rank. “Barrack” isn’t just my last name. It’s also a verb that means, “to urge and encourage, especially by shouting”. While I am occasionally prone to some righteous admonition with a raised voice and, at times, extended rants in the face of injustices that should anger everyone, actual shouting is kept to a relative minimum (sort of) and humor is always right around the corner.

This Pilgrimage will be a journey to the very source of Christianity, the place where “the Word was made flesh and dwelt among us”. For many, it will be a once in a lifetime experience which we will share as one family in Christ. Our Program will commence in Jerusalem, with pilgrims arriving on SUNDAY, August 25th, and will end in Nazareth. Pilgrims will depart for their respective countries on Monday, September 2nd. If William “Bill” Sewell believes in a guiding principle, it comes from world champion racecar driver Mario Andretti, who said, “If things seem really under control, you’re not going fast enough.” Sewell spends his life pushing to find that razor's edge between velocity and control. Raised in Dublin, Georgia, Sewell began his clandestine adventuring as a boy, with rifle in hand, hunting imaginary Nazis, the Japanese army, and even Yankees in the Peachtree state’s backwoods. A Vietnam and U.S. Air Force veteran, Sewell left military service to become a contractor for the U.S. government. In addition to working with the Departments of State and Defense, as well as the Federal Aviation Administration, Sewell also consulted on security matters with the governments of Kuwait, Australia, India, Oman, Abu Dhabi, Hong Kong, China, Canada, and even with the European Council of Mayors. But Sewell also pursued an alternative profession—with the U.S. intelligence community. “There’s a thrill to participating in covert enterprises. And of course there’s the patriotic aspect of doing some good for your country. Unfortunately, I’m not yet at liberty to talk about much of what we did. But we had a lot of fun. . . .” Sewell also experienced the direct effects of what can be a very dangerous business. “At the end of the first Gulf War I went over to Kuwait, working with their interior ministry. Aside from the terrible cost in lives, the war had turned Kuwait into a pile of rubble. The old bustling Suk (marketplace) ceased to exist. Our huge hotel? There were only six functional rooms left, because Iraqi soldiers tossed a grenade in each room as they walked out. The Iraqi army blew up or stole everything of value; they even pinched an entire roller coaster from an amusement park! But the Kuwaitis were determined to rebuild, and they did a spectacular job. I was very proud to work with them in the years after the war.” In addition to his work abroad, Sewell has provided security expertise for numerous domestic events and venues—including the Super Bowl, NFL and MLB stadiums, airports, infrastructure, and many corporate headquarters and locations. Putting his remarkable experience to good use, Sewell has now penned Nonofficial Asset: The Iran Affair, a clandestine thriller featuring his doppelganger, Peyton Stone. Chen revealed that many singles have spent tremendous time and money to keep up the romantic actions to court a person. "While dating, some men like to shower the ladies with gifts and dinners. They went to pick up their girlfriends from work or accompany them to go shopping. Yet, if there is no marriage in place, this dating has a high chance of break-up. All the money and time spent on this potential marital partner is all wasted because comes next Valentine's Day, this person will no longer be in your life." said Chen. Chen also termed this as, "taking care of someone else's wife." For ladies, Chen said that they have committed the same mistakes. She mentioned a few examples: some ladies like to go to a guy's place to help clean up his house or cook for them. Or they thought if they have a lot of sex, it would make the guy happy. Chen mentioned that it is fine if the lady enjoys the sex. But in a marriage, couples in actual fact do not engage in just sex everyday to hold up a marriage. Regardless of how much time they have spent together, these dating actions are in the same category of taking care of someone else's husband because most likely, this guy will end up marrying someone else. "Modern day dating sets up the relationship to fail. Statistics shows that over 90% of dating ends up in breakups." said Chen. Tiffany H, who was one of the attendees at Chen’s Love Seminar, said, "I have not understood why dating for a long time before marriage has liabilities. I have thought it would allow someone to really know another person." After having followed Chen's advice to short-cut the dating time frame and marry first, Tiffany said, "My husband and I decide to date after marriage. We committed and now have our second child. I could not tell you how wonderful it is to be romantic in a relationship but it is with my spouse.” Chen pointed out the ironic part of how most dating singles would enthusiastically do everything for their potential partners and yet after marriage, they stopped doing what they were doing before the marriage, disappointments set in and the marriage then went downhill very fast. Contrary to the belief that knowing a person for a long time could make a person more certain that the partner would be marital material, Chen pointed out that the dating time has increased tremendously since the 1960s and yet divorce rates are going up the roof in modern times. Chen posed the question, "So let's say it takes 3 years to know a person well. But we have known marriages that break up even after 10 or 20 years. So should someone wait 10 or 20 years to date the same person to really make sure the person is the right one?" The Association of Mature American Citizens (AMAC) has called for responsible Muslim leaders to condemn the Million Muslim March scheduled for this year’s 9/11 anniversary. Dan Weber, AMAC president, called the march “an ugly act of provocation.” Weber, who is available for Talk Show interviews, issued a statement today protesting what he called “the ill-conceived demonstration.” Weber noted that the demonstration is being organized by a discredited anti-Semite, M.D. Rabbi Alam. Alam who heads AMPAC, the American Muslim Political Action Committee, says he believes that the murder of more than 3,000 people on September 11, 2001 was the result of a Jewish conspiracy. “It is an absurd notion at best and a blatant insult not only to the American Jewish Community, but to all Americans of good faith,” he said. Meanwhile, he added, “such a march, on that date, would be an ugly act of provocation, disrespectful to those 3,000 plus American citizens who were killed during the attack. The AMAC statement calls on “our fellow-Americans who are responsible leaders in Muslim communities throughout the country to demonstrate their own commitment to America's civil traditions by condemning this ugly act of provocation and by publicly censuring those behind it. “While the organizers claim to be protesting discrimination against Muslims, they know full well that their march will be construed as a "Victory March" by extremists throughout the world who dislike the USA.”
