As a specialist supporting Mission Control, Olympia LePoint was responsible for recommending real-time solutions to ensure safe rocket launches, and she authorized multi-million dollar rocket engine testing. She won The 2004 Boeing Company Professional Excellence Award, and The 2003 National Black Engineer of the Year "Modern Day Technology Leader" Award. In 2009, San Fernando Valley Business Journal viewed Olympia as one of "Top 40 Under 40" Business Leaders with the article entitled, "Age Places No Barriers to Business Ownership," and in 2010 All Things Girl Magazine claimed Olympia LePoint as "An Inspiring Woman." LePoint has appeared in countless magazines and news publications, including recognition in 2010 as "The New Face for Math Literacy" for her Mathaphobia® explanation on Oprah.com. As 1 of the top 5 undergraduates in a 6,500 student graduating class, Olympia holds a Bachelors of Science Degree in Mathematics, and a Master’s of Science Degree in Applied Mathematics from California State University Northridge.
