Sylvia Cary, LMFT, is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in the Los Angeles area. She is the author of four published books, five produced educational videos, and dozens of articles which have appeared in national magazines. She was awarded the Clark Vincent Award by the California Association of Marriage and Family Therapists (CAMFT) to honor her literary contributions to the field of mental health profession. She has a “book-doctor” business which focuses on helping mental health professionals get published. In 2010, after becoming fascinated by the new “indie” publishing revolution, she started her own small publishing company, Timberlake Press (timberlakepress.com). Sylvia is a member of the California Association of Marriage and Family Therapists, the Scriptwriters Network, Independent Writers of Southern California (IWOSC), Independent Book Publishers Association (IBPA), and Book Publicists of Southern California.
