Prior to attending law school, Cassandra worked at independent record labels, a booking agency, and in music retail. Cassandra has also been an artist for nearly two decades, which gives her the unique ability to relate to both the talent and business perspectives of music industry transactions. She has been involved in the San Francisco Bay Area and New York City DIY music scenes for many years and understands firsthand the challenges facing independent artists and companies attempting to navigate the often-present power imbalance of the music industry.
