Rebman – Author of “Haunted Florida: A Guide to the Departed Soul” and Paranormal Investigator When it comes to researching hauntings, especially those that take place in Florida, Kimberly Rebman is an expert. After all, Rebman has been actively investigating the paranormal for over twenty years now, and is the author of Haunted Florida: A Guide to the Departed Soul, Volume One. Rebman’s book, published in 2008, is dedicated to the many haunted destinations throughout the state of Florida. From the panhandle all the way down to the Keys, Rebman covers it all. The investigator’s simplistic style sets her apart from her colleagues; with just a notepad, pen, and camera in hand, Rebman braves some of Florida’s most haunted landmarks. Haunted Florida: A Guide to the Departed Soul, Volume One is not only entertaining, but educational, especially for novice ghost hunters and those who are unfamiliar with Florida’s rich history and ghost lore. Rebman plans to add a second volume to compliment the first book, and will continue to embark on many adventurous and frightening journeys throughout Florida in the next year to come.
Rebman was born and raised in Hollywood, FL. She became interested in the paranormal when she was only four-years-old and had her first ghostly encounter when she was a teenager. Rebman has since been researching and investigating the paranormal; it has become one of her most serious passions. Rebman received a B.A. degree in Psychology from Florida Atlantic University in Davie, FL in 1999. She worked for six years as an Early Intervention Specialist, helping families with children who have both physical and mental challenges, but then discovered her love for journalism in 2007. Rebman then began writing and editing for two online magazines, in addition to becoming a published author in 2008. Today, Rebman resides in St. Petersburg, FL with her two children, Chauncey and Anabella. She continues to investigate and research ghost lore, and has been featured on numerous radio shows, blogs, documentaries, magazines and newspapers.
