The KMA Entertainment group will be re-locating it's base of operation in 2012 to Hutchinson Kansas USA. The group was founded in 2000 and will be returning to it's “Home base” of operations beginning March 2012. The move is being perpetuated by the changing media environment in Salina Kansas & the surrounding area. The events of the last few years with constant “legal wranglings” with the Community Access Television of Salina,Inc. Group along with funding by the City of Salina Kansas to the group has led to the decision to move the KMA Entertainment group back to a much friendlier and much more supported media environment in Reno County.
The KMA Entertainment group will be continuing it's property’s such as The Jiggy Jaguar Radio Show & websites. It's successful KJAG Radio brand which was founded in Hutchinson KS in 2000. The Mic Online magazine which is in it's 13th year of operation, now under the direction of Phil Hong the media guru behind SRN 148.ca in Canada. Radio programming such as Homegrown Half Hour will be continuing along with a soon to be launched untitled weekly internet wrestling talk program. The multi media arm of KMA Entertainment will still include such programming coming from Jiggyjaguar.info & it's sister site Jiggy Jag TV.
KMA Entertainment will still be heavily involved with it's strategic media alliances with The 1KX network, which is a collaborative internet radio network brought to you by dedicated affiliates, bringing interesting, informative and entertaining programming coupled with indie music straight from the artist. The soon to be launched partnership between Final Frontier radio & KJAG Radio will also be in full effect as well. The influx of media powerhouse “Rock Thiz Magazine” will be continuing as well into the Spring of 2012, as Lisa Snyder and her crew are in full support of the efforts of KMA Entertainment and it's property Many of the other media collaborative efforts that are still on going will continue into the new evolution of KMA Entertainment as well.
Property or items that will be dropped from the KMA Entertainment tent or branding that will cease to exist are the following. Salina TV Dot Info will be coming to a close with the move of the base of operations it will be impossible or even matter to continue Salina TV Dot info. The program Sampletext.info will be ceasing operations as well, the program as been defunct since 2011 after Marcia Stephenson from Access TV in Salina Kansas began intimidating and strong arm guests from making appearances on the panel discussion program.
When reached for comment, KMA Entertainment head of operations James Lowe said, “The changing environment from media to City Commission in Salina Kansas, are basically for this change.” Lowe then added the following when speaking about Hutchinson Kansas. “Hutch seems to get it, these folks are doing a lot with Social media & the fringe media is not so much fringe anymore along with the welcoming ideals of live entertainment and such, Hutchinson seems to be doing more with less than what Salina Kansas is doing.”
