A Real American Horror Story

Clayton Cramer

ZIMMERMAN TRIAL

BILL FRADY

TOPIC-
UPDATE: Trial has begun. For many in the world outside the Florida courtroom preparing for the high-profile trial of Trayvon Martin killer, George Zimmerman, the verdict is already in. Whether it’s ‘guilty’ or ‘innocent’ is beside the point. The court of public opinion is already adjourned. Hence, the jury selection process continues, with some 40 potential candidates getting grilled as if they were on the witness stand. As the attorneys press on and the real trial is poised to get underway, one of the hot-button issues related to the case is that of self-defense and the constitutional right to exercise it with a gun. Available for interviews to comment are two Special Guests, available individually or together as a panel. Larry Pratt is the Executive Director of the Gun Owners of America (GOA) and an unrivaled expert on 2nd Amendment history and how it relates to topics of today. He can expound on views he’s expressed about the case since it first hit the news more than a year ago, and can offer his analysis of which of the two men involved, Martin (pictured) or Zimmerman, stepped outside the bounds of his rights, and how. Bill Frady is a military veteran and seasoned gun-rights proponent who regularly reflects via his Lock & Load radio show on the many dynamics of our gun debate, gun culture and gun rights. He can likewise offer his views on the upcoming trial and project on how it might reinvigorate the gun-control debate once again in the coming weeks, after the debate has seen a downshift since Newtown.

ABOUT BILL FRADY As the host of Lock & Load, presented by Gun Owners of America, Bill Frady is a staunch 2nd Amendment supporter with a deep-seeded belief in the United States and the American people. Throughout his time, either on the air or just on the street, he’s genuinely puzzled by people who do not educate themselves on government and the threat it can be to our liberty. He’s a husband, a father, a grandfather and a military veteran who still feels the pull of the oath of service. He lives in South Carolina.

Bryan O'Leary

TOPIC-Spygate – The Untold Story

THE AUTHOR: Bryan O’Leary has been working in the investment management arena for over twenty years. He currently works for a firm that creates commodity and currency systematic trading strategies. An avid NFL fan whose family was in law enforcement, O’Leary always thought it odd that the Spygate scandal was covered up and not investigated fully, so he wrote a book about it. The book is highly sourced and fact checked. The anecdotal evidence is overwhelming and the statistical analysis is off the charts, literally. A graduate of Indiana University of Pennsylvania, he lives in Dallas, Texas with his wife and three kids. This is O’Leary’s first book.

Fun & Exciting News!

Glass Petals

TOPIC-Glass Petals

Borrowing from ageless folk while adding heavier rhythms, Glass Petals bases it's sound around strong vocals, intelligent lyrics, and unique band arrangements that consist of various strings, horns, percussion, and textures. Emotionally charged, the songs swell and collapse like an avalanche down a mountainside. At the heart of the group is singer/guitarist/composer Tim Smisek. Initially forming the band in Chicago, the self-titled debut album was recorded with an exceptional collective of musicians. Together, the collaboration engraved a new definition of modern music, and it's ambitions have been well received. After it's successful birth in the United States, Glass Petals shifted base to Paris, France. Reformed and freshly influenced by it's European surroundings, the band has been hitting the concert scene and is currently in the studio working on a their second album. Already featured on numerous radio stations around the globe, given a front-page artist spotlight on YouTube, nods by a President Obama website, acknowledged by reviews, blogs, and podcasts, the music is gathering significant momentum. Honesty has never felt this good. So be true to yourself, and let Glass Petals shatter the current lens through which you look at the musical world.

Jon DeRosa Announces Solo Release on Rocket Girl Records A Wolf In Preacher's Clothes CD Available Worldwide Nov. 5/6 - Limited Edition Vinyl Available in US Now !

Listen To Jon DeRosa On BreakThru Radio With Jack Rabid Here! Watch the Video For "True Men" Here! Jon DeRosa (b. 21 December, 1978) is a guitarist, composer and singer/songwriter from Brooklyn, NY. Raised in the small shore town of Manasquan, NJ, DeRosa grew up idolizing Glenn Danzig, while studying classical and flamenco guitar and memorizing the entire output of 4AD and Projekt Records. It was with this eclectic background that he began his approach to writing and recording music. DeRosa has been involved with many musical projects including dark folk/goth band Dead Leaves Rising, followed by the dreamy atmospheric sounds of Aarktica. In 1998 Jon DeRosa lost nearly all hearing in his right ear which sparked the birth of Aarktica (a project that remains active over a decade later) as well as his study of Indian classical vocal music with La Monte Young and Marian Zazeela. In addition to Aarktica, Jon plays guitar with with New York City chamber pop ensemble Flare. DeRosa also briefly recorded under the name Pale Horse and Rider, releasing two albums of urban country songs during this time. Rob O’Connor at CMJ remarked “DeRosa’s not unlike the downcast end of Springsteen. ‘Jersey Coast Line’ [from 2002’s These Are The New Good Times] could very well be Nebraska‘s 11th track.” In 2006, DeRosa lent his voice to Stephin Merritt’s opera “The Peach Blossom Fan”, as the role of Hou Fang Yu. Some of his contributions were first featured on Merritt’s Showtunes album (Nonesuch, 2006). “The Peach Blossom Fan” became available in its entirety in 2008 (Nonesuch). DeRosa continues to record as Aarktica, his most recent releases being 2009/10’s In Sea and In Sea Remixes. In 2011, DeRosa unveiled his first eponymous release, the Anchored EP. Novelist Ed Park (The Believer) said of it: “At first, Jon DeRosa’s Anchored EP, a quartet of gorgeously layered chamber-pop shanties, seems leagues away from the voluptuous Lovecraftian drift he perfected under his moniker Aarktica. But there are dark spaces here, too, room to brood in the sweet gravel of his voice, in Julia Kent’s penetrating cello lines, and in the quiet violence of the lyrics. With a depth that belies its brief running time, Anchored is so perfect that it literally gives you the chills.” In April 2012, DeRosa self released a limited vinyl edition of his debut full length A Wolf In Preacher's Clothes in the US, and on November 5/6 2012 DeRosa will release the album on CD internationally via RocketGirl Records. The Passing Zone

“The Passing Zone”

TOPIC-Are they the world’s greatest jugglers or the world’s funniest comedians? Actually, they are both. As jugglers, Jon Wee and Owen Morse have won 18 gold medals and are recipients of the International Jugglers’ Association’s Award of Excellence—the highest honor awarded to a juggling act. They were also the top comedy act on the hit TV show “America’s Got Talent,” featured at the “Just for Laughs” comedy festival in Montreal. Amazing juggling feats, side-splitting comedy…fun for the whole family.

Owen Morse and Jon Wee met in 1986 at a juggling convention and instantly knew they were destined to be a team. But they decided to graduate from college first. Which they both did. Rather than pursue careers in Economics and Psychology, they lit some torches, and started throwing stuff into the air. And things clicked. Two weeks after their first performance together they won the Silver Medal at the International Juggler's Association Teams Competition. The next year they won the Gold. That recognition earned an invitation to appear at the renowned Comedy and Magic Club in Los Angeles, where on their first night they were approached by the "Tonight Show" talent scout and booked for their first national television appearance in September 1990. Johnny Carson enjoyed them so much they were asked back less than a year later. Their first feature film followed, The Addams Family Movie, where Jon and Owen doubled for Gomez (Raul Julia) and Uncle Fester (Christopher Lloyd) in the climactic Mamushka dagger-passing scene. More recently, they appeared in the award-winning comedy documentary, The Aristocrats. The Passing Zone's first London appearance was in the Royal Variety Performance at the Dominion Theatre, performing for Prince Charles and sharing the bill with Tony Bennett and Riverdance. They expanded their US national television audience by passing clubs over the heads of the Miss America Pageant contestants during the swimsuit competition, demonstrating almost inhuman concentration skills! Most recently, they were finalists on NBC's "America's Got Talent" where they lost one million dollars to an 11-year-old. They were the highest-rated comedy act, and they eventually won the affection of David Hasselhoff who previously claimed to hate all jugglers. Corporate entertainment and keynote speaking gradually became their primary market, for which they are a natural fit. Their act is clean, so it offends no one. They appeal to all ages, and all walks of life, so whether their audience is a group of mechanical contractors, software engineers, hairdressers, or billionaire business leaders, they are always a hit. Not only do they entertain, but they customize their performances by juggling a company's product, incorporating their slogans, and inspiring groups to be better teams. Their corporate career really took off after a national Million Dollar Round Table (MDRT) event in Atlanta, which was quickly followed by other MDRTs in Chicago and Singapore. After main stage appearances at Meeting Professionals International (MPI), the National Speakers Association, YPO, ICPA, and others, the industry took notice, and they've been off and running ever since. Clients such as eBay, Firestone, Old Navy, Microsoft, IBM, Kodak, and IASB have brought Jon and Owen to their events to liven things up, and motivate their people. The London Business Forum recently enlisted The Passing Zone, and it was one of their highest-rated events ever. Jon and Owen have published articles on Teamwork, Work-Life Balance, and Taking Risks in countless industry periodicals including Business People, Special Events, Smart Meetings, Networking Times, Financial Executives, Successful Meetings, Home Business, and many more. They were chosen as a Best Bet for entertainment by the Wall Street Journal, and Special Events Magazine named them one of the Hottest 26 Speakers. Jon and Owen are known as much for their comedy as their juggling skills. They were featured twice on the gala stage at the Just for Laughs Comedy Festival in Montreal and have opened for comedians Bill Cosby, George Carlin, Bob Newhart, Bob Hope, and Penn & Teller. Television appearances have included "Comic Strip Live," "An Evening at The Improv," "MADtv," Penn & Teller's "Sin City Spectacular," "Steve Harvey's Big Time," and regular returns to NBC's "Today." And they were commentators on ESPN for their coverage of the World Juggling Federation competitions. A year ago they were guest performers at The White House. The Passing Zone have been awarded five Guinness World Records and 18 Gold Medals from the International Juggler's Association. They were recently presented with that organization's Award of Excellence, for "excellence in the art of juggling through professional performance," which is the most prestigious award in juggling (essentially the Juggling Hall of Fame), given to only thirteen acts worldwide. In addition to their corporate appearances, The Passing Zone can be seen performing their full evening show titled "Gravity Attacks!" in theaters and performing arts centers nationwide.

TOPIC-Mental Health on College Campuses The recent Aurora shooting brought college and university level mental health providers into the spotlight. A recent study showed that over half of the students who seek help from clinics on college campuses have serious mental illnesses. The trend is party because stereotypes have been lifted and partly due to the advances in psychiatric medications.

Real Estate Expert Discusses Rules For Buying & Selling A "Haunted House"

Tanya Marchiol

TOPIC-Real Estate Expert Discusses Rules For Buying & Selling A "Haunted House" Tanya Marchiol's POV The laws about disclosing if a house is "haunted" vary from state to state. In Massachusetts, for example, the possibility of a property being "psychologically impacted" isn't considered a "material fact required to be disclosed" to potential buyers. In Virginia, emotional defects like murders and ghost sightings only have to be disclosed if they physically affect the property (Blood running from the walls? Gotta tell the buyer). In California, as American Horror Story demonstrates, sellers do have to disclose emotional defects, but only in a very limited way. The state Civil Code requires that a death on the property only needs to be disclosed if it occurred less than three years prior to the sale and older incidents need to be addressed only if the buyer specifically asks. Some jurisdictions are a little more vague in the way they word things, so smart sellers could potentially disclose what they need to without having to drop words like "haunted," "poltergeist" or "murder spree." Most states require "Seller Disclosure Statements" where the seller must disclose all known facts. With the recent flood of foreclosures and bank owed properties many people who could "disclose" are not the seller so homes are being sold with a disclaimer that the seller cannot provide a "Sellers disclosure statement", and that the buyer is buying based on a material inspection. If no ghosts show up during the inspections you may not even know what you are getting into. This also goes for leaky pipes that had a good patch job. Obviously in a known case of unwanted guests the value of the home may just be affected and possibly dramatically if they home is a known nuisance. Rumors will affect your sales price, even if the buyer thinks they are getting the deal of the century they have the mysterious to deal with and they will want to be compensated for the remediation or unwanted roommate. This is always a tough sell. Not too easy to explain a cabinet opening and closing on its own or levitating candlesticks, but it still may be sellable. Bottom line is unfortunately these guests don't pay rent and being the capitalist I am I am not much on free rent so in true real estate lingo and all meaning of the statement.... CAVEAT EMPTOR!

The now reports of the DHS buying riot gear in preparing for a possible uprising. Then you have this Snowden character coming in and everyone saying well Bradley Manning is different because WikiLeaks made us all look like scum bags where the Snowden guy makes Barry Obama look like a scum bag. Phones being tapped and this started with W not Barrack Obama. DHS is also buying some gear because the American people are ticked. Once again Whistleblowers don’t have a great record with whistle blowers. Alex Jones and Chris Mathews are all on the same page with this NSA and spying stuff. Chris Mathews knows that he is screwed as well as people like Alex Jones have been yelling for years about people like Obama with his craziness. However I like folks like Michael Savage and Bill Maher have brought up the fact that Bush did all this spying and NSA and phone tapping and all and no one really had much to say on this. Phone tapping is something the folks in the Bush Admin made cool. Yes hell let’s face it, if you thought Clinton and Regan and anyone else has not been paying attention and spying, you’re a jerk and should go die in a fire. I would like to bring up Richard Nixon; hell this dude wire tapped the crap out of everyone. Phone tapping is the old school way of doing things and believe me it’s nothing new. DHS riot gear is what brings us to what is getting set to happen, I think this whole NDAA law that got passed. You have the cracking on the phones and you have all the nonsense with people like Snowden and others. Let’s think now about Riot gear, if they did not believe there was an uprising coming you got to think they know there is something coming and it could be quicker than they all thought. You have anonymous and then you have Occupy Wall Street coming up and now you got a shooting match. DHS posted on June 10th on GSN reports and this is what we are looking at, - 111 Centurion CPX2500 Soft Shell Riot Control System upper body and shoulder protection, which must “effectively protect the torso and shoulders from blunt force trauma.” - 123 Centurion TPX200 thigh/groin protection systems “designed for blunt trauma protection during riot control situations,” said the solicitation. The gear “protects the thigh area and has an adjustable and removable groin protector.” - 110 Hatch TS70 Centurion hard shell shin guards, which must provide “substantial protection from flying debris. Non-ballistic weapons, and blows to the leg.” - 189 MaxPro-Police riot helmets, which have a “high impact molded half shell helmet with integral visor and neck protector.” Bradley Manning and Snowden are no different, even if people like Michael Savage believes they are. Bradley Manning was looked upon as a scum bag and he was leaking info to make the President and the folks alongside Obama look like a clown but he also was exposing the USA Gov. along with others look like a bunch of clown shoes. Bradley Manning is bringing you stuff like War crimes and other things that the USA did to make the Government look like a bunch of war criminals. However Snowden is looking like a hero. Snowden looks like a big time deal because he exposed Obama and his minions as the evil empire that folks like Rush and Hannity have been preaching for years about. Finally I want to address that this whole thing is more interesting than an episode of Big Brother TV. I may be jaded and I may be a guy who is not threated as much. I will say I hear ya on the oh no they are invading our privacy. Here is the moral of this story, you don’t like having your privacy violated? Go off the grid, my mother hates Facebook and does not want privacy or anything violated. Guess what she does not have an account. Then you have folks going, “Oh no they are violating our rights by searching our calls.” If they really care about my phone calls to people to book guests and or book my concerts for the cause events? I guess knock yourself out, if you’re looking for nonsense like you’re going to find, get ready to phone bank all the nonsense. Jiggy Jaguar http://www.jiggyjaguar.com

Bambi Lee

Bambi Lee

TOPIC-Bambi Lee Savage announces the forthcoming release of her third solo album, Darkness Overshadowed. The album is produced by Mick Harvey (Bad Seeds, PJ Harvey), who also plays most of the backing instrumentation. Check out the sultry Twin Peaks-esque pop of the track, "Oh Loneliness" available to stream/share HERE and download HERE. As with most things in existence, it's the secrets in music that speak truest. The fact that Bambi Lee Savage has remained a secret for so long is testament to that. Over the past 25 years, the world-wandering singer-songwriter has worked with Daniel Lanois as well as members of Nick Cave and The Bad Seeds and Einstürzende Neubauten. She counts among her patrons Billy Bob Thornton and Bono. Her timeless ballads and haunted anthems are stark, lush, elemental, and ethereal as smoke. And like smoke, they conceal -- even as they signal deeper mysteries well worth the effort of unveiling. Savage began life in Florida, but following the death of her father -- a stunt pilot tragically killed during the filming of the Pearl Harbor drama Tora! Tora! Tora! -- her family relocated to Colorado. In Denver, she played in various punk bands, including the Pagan Cowboys, as the '80s raged around her. It was upon moving to England in 1985 that her secrets began to weave themselves. After fronting the post-punk outfit Horseland, she moved to Berlin, drawn by the industrial allure of Einstürzende Neubauten. In Berlin she began working as an assistant engineer at the famous Hansa Tonstudio. There she wound up scoring credits on two definitive albums of the era: Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds' The Good Son and U2's Achtung Baby. Behind the scenes, though, Savage was working on her own songs. In 1992, Bono funded a recording session in Berlin that included the Bad Seeds' Mick Harvey and Hugo Race as backing musicians. Shadowy and steeped in a shivering mystique, the four-song recording went unreleased, although Harvey would later cover one of Savage's other songs, "Demon Alcohol," on his 2005 album One Man's Treasure. From there, Savage appeared on the German music documentary Lost in Music: Out of Country, playing two of her songs with Neubauten's Alex Hacke. By then, Savage's music had taken a turn toward the dark end of the Americana street, driven partly by a homesickness for her native country. Back in the States, she captured another handful of songs with Daniel Lanois, with whom she'd worked on Achtung Baby. One of those songs, the ghostly folk threnody "Darlin'," caught the ear of Billy Bob Thornton, who used the song on the soundtrack to his breakthrough film Sling Blade. In 2003, she released her first album, Matter of Time, a collection of the various sessions she'd done to date. Although a patchwork, the disc is stunning in its quiet force and sublimated passion. In it, Savage explores illicit substances, spirituality, tenderness, and terror, always with a thrilling tension between myth and confession. In the years that followed, she toured Australia (accompanied by Harvey on some dates) and played a triumphant set as the handpicked opener for Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds in Denver. She moved to Los Angeles soon after and, with Josh Klinghoffer on guitar (Red Hot Chili Peppers, Dot Hacker) she completed work on the daring GJ and the PimpKillers, a conceptual and synthetically textured album that delved into the underworld of sex trafficking. As always, though, Savage's rich, hypnotic, full-blooded voice lends both humanity and otherworldliness to her songs. Savage's new album, Darkness Overshadowed, is both a culmination of all she's done before-and a brave move beyond it. From the guttural punk undertow of "Easy Way" to the atmospheric dread of "Elsinore" to the whispery twang of "Waiting," the disc is based around hopes, fears, memories, regrets, and scraps of confessions written on Berlin bar napkins. Produced by Mick Harvey, who also provides most of the backing instrumentation, it's by far the most vivid and chilling of Savage's work to date. Above all, though, Darkness Overshadowed reads as a secret history of the pre-apocalypse, a gnostic gospel decrypted and given human form. Or in Savage's case, something slightly beyond human. Darkness Overshadowed will be available on CD and download on November 13th, 2012.
