Break Through Beautiful

Break Through Beautiful

You know what it feels like. Pure blissful contentment juxtaposed with passionate angst and vigor. The idea we call love stretches many fathoms deep in our hearts to bring out the emotions of which our being is created. Break Through Beautiful will take you through the journey of love you have felt and longed for, with masterfully planned yet tumultuous breakdowns, gooseflesh giving vocal melodies, and powerful transitions in and out and over one concept- what love feels like. BE LOVE, the bands doctrine and credo, resounds in us a concept of reminding ourselves why we are here in this life experience, so naturally, their music is carefully crafted around the philosophy that love is complex, necessary, intense, energetic, and heartfelt. With a production of theatrics, positivity, tautness, and precision, you will agree with Break Through Beautiful’s story, and forever be a fan of their message.

Trevor, an extremely noticeable, yet modest and unassuming front man, is anything but inconspicuous on stage. With a talent for hitting a vast range of powerful and evocative pitches, meanwhile digging into you with important and potent lyrics, Trevor will sing to you and make the hair on your neck grow. This comes from his philosophy of being a spiritually centered, selfless and genuine individual and transferring those qualities into his performance, and to the significance of his words. Trevor was inspired by years of hearing his mother sing to him when he was a child and figured his talent was hiding inside. After years of tireless and involved focus with his music, he has developed into a truly amazing vocalist, songwriter and engineer.

Lee will jump out of the page at you. With his charismatic persona and pleasant confidence, he plays not only the tastiest of bass lines for the part, but ignites the stage with energy. Also being the emotional charge of the band, Lee takes a strong lead in helping morale be abundant with positive spirits, levity and seriousness. When you’re with Lee you realize his intent on doing the right thing, being straight forward and open, and seeking to understand how anything can improve. His steadfast, fat bass lines compliment perfectly the structure of the music, making them complete. You feel the confidence in the music with his comfort on the stage and reliable execution, and you can truly feel from him- he loves what he is doing.

Josh is the glue. What is the most crucial part is the fact he enjoys so much being the glue. With a meticulous nature, Josh manages to keep the band in stunningly tight, metronomic time while locking down some of the biggest, seemingly effortless pocket drumming you will hear in a rock band. With utmost power in his stroke and use of space and rhythmic cadence, Josh’s style will reel you into the songs with their transitioning so seamless, you take the ride and get let off before you realized you were on it. Having built his own drums and engineering a lighting/sound mix with backtracks for the band, you will always see Josh’s hands into something, as he is ultimately resourceful. He takes pride in building up the band and their presence, making it sound and look as good as possible at all times.

Adrian’s guitar playing is concise, well thought, inspiring and authoritative. The lead guitar pieces he lays down are melodic, storytelling and epic, bringing you the chords that pull your heart out and kiss it the same time. He is a jovial and true individual who likes to get down in life and throw down in his music. Being as good as he is at his craft, Adrian makes guitar playing look like second nature, and has been inspired by a myriad of music through his time, which reflects in his style. His modesty is in his ability to fill the music up with not too much and not too little. He knows what is just right, and plays it perfectly too, meanwhile rocking out with classic theatrics we all love to see when people love playing their music.

Brian's guitar playing is only surpassed by his wealth of music industry knowledge. As a seasoned touring musician; having played in a plethora of established acts over the years, in conjunction with founding/operating the elusive rock zine, Alternative Revolt Magazine (www.altrevolt.com - a nationally known music publication that caters to both major and indie artists), Brian brings a whole new level of maturity and experience to the BTB table. Having produced multiple albums of differing genres over the years and hitting the live stage time and time again, Brian slides easily into the BTB mix with his tight multilevel playability and proven stage presence. As the fifth and final addition to the band, there is no doubt that he is the ultimate and final puzzle piece needed to bring the success of Break Through Beautiful full-circle.

Taddy Porter-

Taddy Porter – Taddy Porter was initially envisioned as the duo of Andy Brewer and Doug Jones, but after taking guitar lessons from Selby, Brewer decided to bring him on as lead guitarist and the three invited Jones' brother, Kevin, to fill out the quartet.[1] The name of the band was chosen after Andy noticed it on a bar beer list and believed it fit the band. The band originally began building their act at Dirty's Tavern, a local bar in their hometown of Stillwater.

In December 2007 they recorded a 4-track EP, Monocle, produced by Trent Bell at Bell Labs Recording Studio in Norman, Oklahoma.[2]

In late 2009 Scott Frazier of Overtone Music Group was sent to Oklahoma City to see another band. Taddy Porter approached him and asked him if he would watch their support set. Frazier was so impressed he signed them to a management contract within a few days.

Frazier's partner, Rick Smith had this assessment of the band, “This band is going to be the biggest one in my 35 years of doing this. This is truly something special. This is Paul Rodgers 1969, if Free came from Stillwater, Okla., or if Joe Cocker had a baby with Robert Plant, it would be Andy Brewer. All the successful great rock bands of the last 30 years have had that dual focus — whether it’s starting with Jagger and Richards, or Lennon and McCartney or Tyler and Perry or Axl and Slash. You have to have the two front guys in Andy and Joe. Joe will be one of the quintessential guitar players of his generation. This is a band that only comes around like once in a generation. They’re that special.”[3]

The band was signed to a record deal with independent label Primary Wave Records, which not only allows the band to retain the rights to its songs, but also includes distribution through EMI records.

The band was also placed as the "freshman" act on The Class Of 2009 Tour with Red, Pop Evil and Saving Abel. The "Class Of" tours was the collective brainchild of Scott Frazier, Rick Smith and Larry Mestel of Primary Wave Music Management along with Justin Hirschman from Artist Group International. The concept is to bring together rock artists who have had substantial Top Ten hits at radio in the current year as well as one act who is provided an opportunity to launch its act. The 2009 tour took place from October 27 through December 19, 2009.

The band's debut single "Shake Me" was featured on Monday Night Football on December 21, 2009. It was also used in episode 24 of the ABC sitcom Cougar Town on May 24, 2010 (previously "In The Morning" had been used in episodes 18 and 21.) "Shake Me" was also featured in the NBC show Chase.

During the 2010 Major League Baseball season "Shake Me" has been used by New York Mets pitcher Mike Pelfrey while warming up and also when batting at Citi Field. "I was looking for a warm-up song and I decided to go with 'Shake Me' by a killer new band named Taddy Porter. It sounds huge in Citifield and it has been working out great," says Pelfrey. Pelfrey's pitching coach at Double A Binghamton in 2006 was Mark Brewer, Andy's father. (Andy's grandfather was Jim Brewer, a relief pitcher who spent 17 years in the major leagues.)

The band had two songs ("King Louie" and "Mean Bitch") featured in the seventh season premiere of Entourage on HBO June 27, 2010, and two songs ("Railroad Queen" and "King Louie") can be heard in the upcoming John Cena movie "Legendary".

On July 27, 2010 it was announced that Taddy Porter would tour with Slash and Myles Kennedy for eight dates in September 2010.[4]

In the Autumn 2010, the band will be touring with Canadian band Finger Eleven on select tour dates, as well as with Evans Blue.[5] They will also open for Alter Bridge on select dates in the United States.

Model Chelsea Tallarico, daughter of Aerosmith lead singer and American Idol judge Steven Tyler, is featured in the band's 2011 music video for the song "Long Slow Drag."

Band members are planning to start recording for their next album after their current tour.

Never Give Up

Never Give Up

Image
Just when you think the day is up and you are almost out of money, you should keep trying because you never know what you might get.

A true story from "Theslotguru" Earnest Cobb - With less than 200.00 in his hands, he decided to play a max bet on a dollar slot for $45.00. In doing so he hit a winner and won $10,000.00 on his first bet on the machine. He returned fifteen minutes later and won $68,000.00. He took home $78,000.00 when he could have given up with his last $200.00.

This principle of "keep on going till you can't anymore" proves true not only for casinos but in life. If you give up early, you won't ever know what could have been.
